How to Get Started with Missions

We are excited at the possibility of serving in 2023 with you!

#1. Fill out an online Missions Application. The link will be emailed to you once you “Sign up” to show your interest. CrossPoint alumni missionaries still need to fill out an application.

#2. Pay the Mission Trip Deposit: Deposits are $250 for $2300 trips/$500 for $3500 or more trips. You will be required to pay $20 of this deposit when you fill out your application. Once your application has been approved, you can log into your managed missions account and pay the rest of the deposit. You can also mail payments to:

The cost of each trip varies and is all inclusive. Please do not let the cost of a trip overwhelm you. There is nothing too difficult for God! Jesus commands us to GO and EVERYONE is called to obey the Great Commission in some way. We want this mission experience to teach you principles of faith that you can apply to every area of your life!  Do not let finances be a reason you don't go on the trip. It is our desire that you go at minimal cost. If God has called you to GO, then He has called others to SEND you.

If you will follow the guidelines below, you will be pleasantly surprised at how God provides! God will begin to build your faith as you see Him supernaturally provide for your trip. Make it an adventure and allow God to reveal His faithfulness to you through the process!

*NOTE TO PARENTS
Rest assured that your child's safety is our #1 priority. Crosspoint Ministries has some pretty strict rules in place along with consequences if the rules are broken. We have been taking youth on mission trips since 1999 and have never had an incident of any kind. We have pastors and friends in every country who travel with us everywhere we go. They see to it that we are protected. We also have trained team leaders that oversee smaller groups within our large group. We also assign each missionary a partner.  No one on the team is allowed to go anywhere alone. We will do things as a group and will always be contained in certain areas. Please feel free to contact us anytime if you have a concern you would like to discuss.

10 Steps to Faith-Raising Your Support

1. Start by asking God to give you creative ideas on ways to raise support for your account. Maybe you can ask your boss to work overtime and put that towards your trip. Maybe you can ask family and friends to donate to your trip instead of giving you a birthday gift or a Christmas gift. Maybe you can offer to use the talents that God has given you to bless others. For example, you can offer through your neighborhood communication to take care of people's pets, babysit their kids, or clean their house for FREE in exchange for a donation to your trip. For example, one young lady raised all her support by putting fliers in her neighborhood mailboxes advertising FREE BABYSITTING in exchange for a donation to her trip. Other missionaries have offered to bake a cake, detail a car, create a website, be a personal assistant for two weeks- whatever your gifts are, use them and watch God provide!
2. We encourage you to also create a "public profile" to let people on social media know about your upcoming trip. You can do this through your managed missions account that you will receive as soon as you fill out your application online. This will allow you to write about your trip, upload a picture, and publish online to where people can give directly to your trip online. You will be amazed at how God increases your faith as you step out and make preparations to GO on the trip.

3. You may also want to consider sending a support letter to your family and friends. Make it a faith adventure! Please do not send your letters, texts, or emails to the pastors and major leaders of your church.

  • Pray over the list and ask God to move on their hearts to support you either financially or through prayer.

  • Personalize a short letter requesting their support

  • Handwrite the envelopes to make it more personable

  • Enclose a self addressed STAMPED envelope with your letter

4. It is important to follow up with every letter that is sent in one of three ways:

  • Send a thank you note when you receive a donation.

  • After two weeks, if you have not heard back from them, send a second "letter of praise" letting them know how much money has come in for your trip and asking them to continue to pray for you.

  • You might consider texting them the link to your managed missions account to make it easier for them to donate there.

5. Begin collecting supplies.
We love to take gifts to every country God sends us. We like to be a tangible blessing by taking things that people donate to us for the people we will be ministering to. Supply Lists will be emailed to you for each individual trip.

6. Begin preparing spiritually.
What an awesome honor to be called by God to serve as His ambassador on the mission field. Be aware that you may have thoughts that you are unworthy, ill-equipped, and not ready to meet this splendid challenge. Well, it's true!  By ourselves we can’t accomplish much of anything. But through the grace, wisdom and power of Jesus Christ, we are worthy, prepared and equipped to meet every challenge He sets before us. Stay very close to God, hear His voice, talk to Him, and study His word. He has promised that when you feel weak, He will be your strength. And when you feel very foolish, He will be wise for you. Be aware that the minute you make the decision to GO, there will be obstacles thrown in your way to get you to change your mind. Just remember to ask yourself  a simple question: “Is it God? And do I trust Him?" Be determined to go forward and not allow anything to steal what God put in your heart when you first decided. The minute you decide to go on a trip, the mission begins!
7. Begin to Research.
    A. Learn about the ministry you will be traveling with
    B. Learn about the people and culture you will visit
    C. Learn about what you will do while you are there
8. Meet Financial Deadlines
    A. Turn in your deposit as soon as you decide to go on the trip
    B. Adhere to your personalized payment plan that will be emailed to you
    C. Make sure all money is turned in by the final deadline (3 weeks before the flight)
9. Attend all meetings. Meet the Team Dinner, Packing/Prayer, etc.
10. GO and be USED by God and Give Him ALL the Glory!
